The last thing to get a overhaul before releasing this games, is getting some of the first sprites I made up to speed.
The Piranha and the Burger Bun were two of the first enemies I made and my pixel-art skills are fortunately getting better all the time. So it's no wonder they needed to be redone to fit in with the newer sprites.
Everything is going as planned - and now the wait is almost over.

Sometimes it's hard to get enemies to fit in visually, but after redoing this bug 4 times, I think I succeeded. Often it's the first things you create that need to be redone in the end, because your style and skills changes over time. I guess you just have to accept that you have to redo most things over and over again.

I am touching up the menu structure for 8BitBoy tonight. The game is getting very close to being completely finished. After working with the menu and the last settings options here, I am moving on to going through every bit of the game one last time, to make sure the quality is up there with the best. The game already feels superbly smooth with 60fps all the way on most low specs computers. If you like the game now, just wait till you try it.

I got the idea for this developer blog by one of the members from BYOAC. So thank you for that.
